Skills and Sleds

Today was barbell skill day…

But before that I went pushing the Rogue Sled with 185# for 400 meters up and down the hill. If you are ever looking for the right recreational diversion with the family, this is a good old stand-by…

After that practicing 1 RM on Deadlifts, Shoulder presses and bench presses. No MetCon today.

Still struggling with my OHS. So I committed to 1000 wall squats before I put the weight back on for OHS…

US Airways says no to kettlebells

I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask…

I checked with US Airways if I could make my 55lb kettlebell one of my check-in luggages. Kettlebell, you know, like cannonballs with handles… Really? What about 50lbs… Oh…

The set of call transfers that involved every supervisor in their employ still left the question unanswered. I was told I could ‘try’ to check it in but at the airport they may disallow it and then you’d have to leave it behind. (Gulp)

In case you’re wondering why on earth I’d do that… Well most gyms I called in Paris had no kettlebells, so I thought why not just bring one… Anyway, filed under bad ideas…
