The snow finally started in Vail Valley and by afternoon the resort started opening up their double diamond sections. What a welcome change from the morning ice-skiing to the afternoon powder, albeit with some vegetation still sticking out in the snow…
I had a couple of great mogul runs with my daughters and by the end of the day we could finally say it was worth it to come skiing this year. If I treated the mogul runs as a workout, I think it would be like 500 half-squats, 250 tuck jumps and 500 yard farmers carry with 2 sets of skis… In the evening I did manage a quick WOD for good measure.

As many reps as possible in 2×2 minutes:
– shoulder press 45lbs
– bench press 45lbs
SCORE: 81 shoulder presses + 85 bench presses = 166
