you won't see HSPU or MU in the first week. double unders...not so sure i'd lay that bet. last year, the first WOD out of the gate was DU and lightweight snatches, an AMRAP if memory serves.

the first few rounds will probably be as last year--tougher CrossFit movements that help thin the herd and separate the field of players, but not what we call "disqualifier" movements. those are things such as MU, HSPU, Chest to Bar pullups, and really heavy lifts where you will start to see the field narrow to the more elite athletes.

competition will also get narrowed with heavier lifts--i expect to see them again this year as well--and not just in sectionals. we'll see them at the games too, is my guess, plus more surprises like the swim from last year.

you're doing all the right stuff, Tamas!

Alex, I never found the elusive CrossFit France. I tried to call and email and no response. Hopefully you have better luck. Most gyms in Paris don't have the basics for Crossfit workouts but I had luck with some Club Med gyms that have freestanding pullup bars, barbells and plenty of space for double unders and other gymnastics. Noone ever disrupted me in a MetCon and that's a big plus... Have fun.
